Clinton City Heritage Days

Well we had a great time last Saturday. It was Clinton City Heritage days. Randy, John and I signed up for the 5k run on Saturday morning. John got came in at 31+, Randy came in at 32+ and I came in at 34+. We all got cool shirts and bags. Erin did the chalk art festival for the second year and she got a cool bag as well. She and Sophie and some of her friends did the art work.
Austin, John and I went over to put out blankets for the fireworks and decided to get something to eat and people watch. Randy decided to come over and join us.After Erin got home from work later that day she, Austin, Sophie and Garrison all went over to the carnival to ride the rides. Randy and I had a soccer game and met up with them after. We wandered around the Carnival for a bit and then headed over to the blankets we put out earlier to watch the fireworks. They were not quite as good as the Clearfield fireworks on 4Th of July but there were some really cool ones. And we were so close to where they were going off that we could see the hot ashes coming down over the top of us. Fortunately they all went over our heads but we did see one guy smack one with his hat away from his family.
Looking forward to doing it again next year

Post Falls Trip

My mom, Erin and I drove up to Post Falls, Idaho for a family reunion with her family. We drove to Pendleton, Oregon the first night. We found a riverside walk that was really something. The next day we drove up thru Washington and over to Post Falls. We stayed at the Ross Point Baptist Camp. It was absolutely beautiful there. We had our own building for use. A great big hall with 6 rooms surrounding it. Outside was a short walk to the Spokane river. There was lots to do too. They have mini-golf, tether ball, volleyball, baskteball, and when the water is high enough there are a lot of things to do on the river.
We drove to Cabellas too check it out. I think the one in Utah is a lot bigger. We also tried to drive to Coeur d’Alene but the Ironman competition was in progress (the bike portion) and we couldn't get to downtown. Erin and I took off one night and went to watch a movie.
On the way home we drove the other way and went thru Montana. It was beautiful country. We had such a great time and it was a bummer to have to come home to the hot and work. But I missed my hubby and was sure glad to see him. Hopefully he will be able to come with me next year.
