YIKES

So yesterday there was a Amber Alert for a little girl suspected of being taken by a hispanic man. There was a description of the car and a partial license plate given out. Well when Randy got home from work there was a undercover cop and a Clinton City policeman waiting for him. His car matched the description and his plate had 4 out of the 5 numbers on it that was given. They got his I.D. and asked where he had been all day. He gave them his work info and they said they would clear him. When I got home he told me the story and we had a good laugh.
Then about a hour later there is a knock on the door and it is more undercover officers from Salt Lake. They asked that Randy come outside and talk to them. I ran up to Erin's room so I could look out the window and see what was going on. They searched the car and took pictures of it and him in it. That seemed pretty scary. I was kinda freaking out so I know Randy must have been. He talked to them for quite a bit and then they looked like they were going to leave. But then one of the officers came back and asked to take Randy's picture again. Randy did but he wasn't sure whether he should have or not. The officer took his picture on the front steps like he was taking his mug shot. He said he was going to send it down for the witness to look at. YIKES. And can you imagine what our neighbors are thinking????
Anyway they finally left and we didn't hear from them again. Randy said he had a gut feeling they would show up at his work today. We shall see. Hopefully the whole thing is over now. I did tell him I didn't think he should drive the car for a couple weeks until the whole thing dies down or they find the real guy.

Austin's Explorer

Austin has acquired a used vehicle. It is a 1997 Ford Explorer. It runs on CNG and regular gas. Randy found it on eBay for him in New York. It didn't come quite as well taken care of as we hoped but Randy thinks he will be able to fix everything. He is so smart about that kind of stuff. The front driver's seat was really bad so Randy found some clothes seats and we all helped Austin take out all the old seats and put in the cloth seats today. It looks a lot better already. Hopefully soon it will be up and running and Austin can start saving money on gas.

Construction at the Shoop House

Randy has always wanted to tear out all the grass on the side of the house and make a RV pad/ toy pad for all his stuff. Well it was finally able to happen. He took some pictures of the guys doing it and it looked like it was pretty neat to watch it all happen. They pulled out all the grass from the sidewalk at the front of the house to the fence at the back of the house. Then dug down a couple of inches. Next they put in road base from the house to the fence. Next week when the weather is better they will put in cement from the sidewalk to the front of the house.

School's Out for Summer

School is out for the summer. I wish work was out for summer too☺.
Garrison had a graduation for 6th grade on Thursday and Randy, me and his parents were all able to go. Garrison was asked to speak and did a good job.
Garrison and Sophie both received awards for the Honor Roll and Garrison received a Presidential Award. Sophie text Randy later and let us know that she actually got on the High Honor Roll and had all A's.
Erin also did well this year and will be in 11th grade next year. We let her drive the truck that Randy bought about a month ago to school for the last day. That was hard for me to let her go by herself but she did great. She is looking forward to finding a part time job so she can drive more often.
