HONOR ROLL

Last night Erin's school had a program to honor the ninth graders who maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average. And HOLY COW Erin was one of them. I am so proud of her. She has struggled with her grades every year and now all of a sudden this year she did so great. Which is good because it now counts for graduation.

Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

We went camping with Barbara and Larry who we met over the Easter camping trip. Barbara's son Troy and his wife Jamie and their girls also came. We went to Lookout Pass. I think everybody had a good time. We rode the four-wheelers and the girls caught Lizards. Randy found a rattlesnake and a couple of other snakes. YUCK. Randy, Garrison and Sophie went down on Thursday night and Erin and I drove down on Friday after work. (Austin went to his dad's for the weekend) We left earlier on Sunday then Randy and got home to take long showers and give the dog a bath. We were so dirty from all the dust. On the way out to the main road we stopped at Dog Cemetary. It is a place where a woman that could not have kids and had a lot of pets created a cemetary for them. Now people will bring their pets up and bury them up around it. It was really a neat place.
Randy wants to go again in two weeks with his work but the rest of us are not sure we are ready to go again that soon.

Happy 3rd Anniversary

Well today was Randy and my 3rd Anniversary. Some days it doesn't seem like that long ago that we had our Wedding. I still remember the Ding Dong Cake. That was so great.
Randy and I went down to Wendover last night after work and just got back. Before I left work Randy sent me flowers. I was really surprised because he had just given me Roses for Mother's Day. They were so pretty and everyone at work loved them. He said he wanted to get me something different and he did a great job.
I know some of you probably think Wendover isn't the most romantic place but it is where Randy proposed to me so it is special to me. We went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner before heading out. It was sooo good. I love that place.
We had quite the embarrassing moment. When we opened the door to our room there was someone in it... A older lady in a old fashioned nightgown. We had been talking about ghosts earlier at dinner and I know it sounds stupid but at first I thought she was a ghost. She gasped and we gasped and I said something and tried to shut the door but it wouldn't shut all the way. So when we went back to the front desk Randy told them there was a problem with the room. When the girl asked what he said there is someone in it. Turns out she gave us the wrong room number. But it still opened another door. She gave us a 2 for 1 Buffet coupon to make up for it. Just for future reference make sure you dead bolt your door in your hotel room because it seems like any key can open any door.
Anyway we had a lot of fun. Randy came home with more money than he took but I didn't. Oh well, maybe next time.

Happy Mothers Day

I hope every mom out there had a great Mother's Day. My day was pretty good. We only had Erin with us for the weekend because of her musical at school. Randy made us breakfast in the morning and surprised me with a card and Roses on the table. I then went with my brother to visit my dad and then we went grocery shopping. After that I drove - or I should say Erin drove us over to my mom's and we picked her up to go see a movie. We went to see the movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. It was a cute movie. We had popcorn and nachos and big cokes. The whole movie experience. Then we came home and vegged the rest of the day. I played the Mafia Wars on Facebook. (yes I am addicted and Stacey it is your fault). When Sophie and Garrison came home Sophie gave me a really nice card that she made herself. It was so sweet.
It was a really nice day.

OKLAHOMA

I just got back from watching Erin in her Jr. High School production of the musical Oklahoma with my mom.
She of course did a great job.
