We had a pretty good Christmas. My pictures of Sophie and Garrison came out really dark. I couldn't even post most of them because they were too dark. Sorry about that Sophie and Garrison.

San Diego
We had a great time in San Diego. It wasn't quite as warm as I thought it would be but still better than Utah. Randy and I met up with his parents and sister at the hotel Sunday night. On Monday we went to Sea World and were able to watch most of the shows. Of course we saw the penguins. On Tuesday we were going to go on a Whale Watching Cruise but it was rainy and windy and ended up getting canceled. That actually worked out great because we went to the USS Midway Museum. The Utah and Cal bands were there doing a battle of the bands. We got to watch that and get our picture taken with the mascot Swoop. After the battle of the bands the teams showed up for a luncheon. Thanks to Penny for being brave we were able to get our picture taken with Coach Wittingham. That was great.
Wednesday before the game Randy and I went back to Sea World and his parents and sister went shopping. We met up at the game. I was a little worried in the first quarter because Cal seemed to have the momentum but the Utes came back and won the game. It was a lot of fun. Randy and I took off after the game and drove back home. We wanted to be back for Christmas Eve. We got back around 9 on Thursday. Randy did all the driving on the way down and most of it on the way home. Thank you Randy.
We had a lot of fun and I can't wait for the opportunity to do it again.

Christmas Singing Program
Garrison and Sophie had a school Christmas program at school where they both sang. Randy was able to get a few photos of it. With Garrison being in sixth grade this may be his last Christmas program.

Great Job Garrison and Sophie
Randy went to Garrison and Sophie's parent teacher conference on Tuesday and he was told they are both getting Straight A's. What a great job. They are such good kids. Keep up the good work Garrison and Sophie. I am so proud of you.

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY ERIN
Can't believe my baby girl is 16 today. Where did the time go? Erin is such a funny, enjoyable person to be around. Sometimes she tires me out with all her energy.
Erin I hope you have a great day and that you have nothing but good things come your way. You deserve it because you are a great kid. Hope you know how much you are loved.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
It has been a while since I posted anything. I need to get
back into doing this.
The kids all carved pumpkins. I was able to get pictures of the pumpkins before they started to go bad already. I think the crazy weather is wreaking havoc on them.

Happy Birthday
Well yesterday I turned 41. Holy Crap. I woke up feeling pretty old.
It was a really great weekend and a really great day.
Randy and I went and played soccer Friday night and I think we won. See I am losing my mind already I can't even remember if we won or not.
Saturday we went to see the University of Utah football game and they won their game. On Sunday Randy made breakfast for everyone and then we went to see the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It was a cute movie. Then I headed over to see my dad with my mom.
Randy got me a new printer that is wireless so I am excited to get it all set up. Garrison and Sophie gave me Uof U earrings and I will wear them to every game.
Tonight we are having dinner with the family since it is mom's birthday.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone.

Labor Day Camping Trip to Fish Lake
I have been a little slow with the blogging lately. A little busy with school but mostly because I am addicted to FaceBook. Anyway. Randy, Garrison, Sophie and I all went to Fish Lake over Labor Day weekend. Austin and Erin chose to go to their dad's. We met Randy's friend Alan from work and his wife Linda down there. They have a boat and were nice enough to take us out on it.

I
The kids both caught some fish and we all rode bikes. We had a Prime Rib dinner at the Lodge on Sunday. My kind of camping. It was a great time and I look forward to going again soon.

Birthday Dinner
I invited Randys' and my family to dinner to celebrate Randy's birthday today. He thought it was just going to be me and him. At least until he saw Austin, Erin and John all in the car together in front of us close to the resteraunt. My plan was foiled. He just kinda looked at me at said "HHMMM". It was pretty funny actually. But I think he was surprised when he saw his parents.
We went to the Texas Roadhouse and had to end up being in two booths next to each other instead of one big table so that was kind of a bummer but other than that I think it turned out pretty well.
I want to thank all of you that came to dinner. Jim, Jackie, Mom, John, Rebecca, Jackie, Penny and her friend Mel, Austin and Erin.
It was nice to see everyone.
Randy I hope you had a nice birthday.

Weekend in Review
A lady on one of my soccer teams was looking for kids to work at her Shaved Ice Shack so Austin thought he would like to do that. He had to get his food handlers permit to work there so he went on Friday morning and only missed one question after only having Thursday night to study. He was bummed that he didn't get them all right. Erin can work there too as soon as she gets her permit.
Randy had the kids this weekend and when he got home it was good to see that Garrison had gotten his cast off. Now he has to get used to being right handed again.
Randy and I had two games on Friday night. Randy did great even though he doesn't think so. But everyone on the team keeps telling me how good he is doing. I think he likes it more than he is willing to admit. Our second game was at 11 at night and I was exhausted by the time it was over. It was my 6th game for the week.
It was Clinton city days so we walked over to watch the parade. I swear it was the longest parade ever. I actually had to leave after 45 minutes because I needed to go pick up Erin from Camp Utaba where she had been the last week. After Erin and I got back I took all the kids up to the Shaved Ice Shack to see Austin and we all got some shaved ice. I could get addicted to that stuff. Then I took Garrison and Sophie over to the booths and carnival for Clinton city. They both played a game throwing ping pongs in fish bowls so that they could win a fish. They both got two fish so they were really happy. And the lady that Austin works for was at another booth at the carnival and gave them both free Shaved ice cups. They thought that was really cool.
I went to dinner with some girls from soccer and Randy took his kids back to the booths for dinner. After dinner Austin, Erin and his girlfriend met me and Randy and his kids for Fireworks. They were really good.
Sunday we all slept in and then went to breakfast. Randy got the kids bike's down so they were riding bikes and then after I went to visit my dad with my mom and brother, Randy and the kids met us for dinner. We went to my mom's house afterwards to see the huge pine tree that my brother, mom and his friend Matt cut down the day before.

Happy 4th of July

Thanks to all our troops who serve our country and their families.
Hope everyone is having a great Holiday. We got up and went to the parade this morning in Clearfield. Garrison and Sophie got a lot of candy. Then we went over to the Layton booths a little later and walked around and ate over there. We went and fed the ducks the rest of Sophie's bun from her sandwhich. We are planning on going over to the fireworks in Clearfield with John and Rebecca later. I love fireworks
Camping at the West Fork of the Black Fork River
We took off a week of work to go camping Monday thru Thursday. I am glad we did. I think the Holiday weekend would have been very crowded judging by all the trailers driving the opposite direction as us when we came home. We had a good time. We stayed at the very same spot that we did last year when we went with John, Rebecca and Jackie over Labor Day weekend. All the kids went so the trailer was a little crowded but that is okay. It was nice to have them all there. And the dogs Izzy and Tazzy went too. Erin, Garrison and Sophie all floated in the river and we all went on the four-wheelers for a ride. Even Austin. I kinda had to make him go he didn't really want too. The kids caught frogs and tadpoles. The weather was kinda weird. The sun would come out and then a few minutes later it would start blowing and raining. And then it would stop again and the rain would come out. Randy wanted to stay until Friday but the rest of us were ready to come home of Thursday. I am not sure when we are going camping again but I wouldn't mind going there again.

Sheee's BACK
Erin made it back from Texas. I didn't know if I should give her a big hug first or a kick in the butt. She called me about a 1/2 hour before she was supposed to leave for the airport and told me she misplaced her new wallet with her drivers permit and ATV license in it. She was still able to get on the plane without ID because she is under 18. But it was a little stressful for a bit.
She was I think the most happy about being able to sleep in her own bed again. Too bad for her it was only for one night because we are leaving for camping tomorrow.

HAPPY B-DAY GARRISON

It is so hard to believe that Garrison is 11 years old. I remember when I first met him and he was just a little boy. He is growing up so fast. We are going to wait until he gets his cast off (hopefully in 3 weeks) to have a party. I think he wants to go bowling and that might be a little hard in a cast.

Great job Sophie

Sophie did a great job in school this year. She was on the High Honor Roll and the Honor Roll and she won Presidential Award for Fitness and was the only third grader to win. Awesome. Sophie got 2 A's and the rest were A+'s.
Great job Garrison

Garrison did such a great job this year in school. In the end of year IOWA testing he got 100% in Language, Science, Core total, and total Composite. He was in the TOP 10 Nationally. Awesome. Garrison got all A's and B's.
Happy Father's Day

Just a few comments on the dads I know. First John Houser, Erin and Austin's dad. You are a great dad and I appreciate knowing that you are always there for your kids. I am so glad we are able to get along so well. Jim Shoop, my Father-in-law. I am so glad that I am lucky enough to be part of your family and be your Daughter-in-law. John Holm, my brother. You are a great guy always willing to help out and you are a great Step-dad to Jackie. Frank Holm, my dad. I love you and miss hanging out with you. I will always picture in my mind the time you were crawling around on your hands and knees in your backyard chasing Austin around when he had just learned to walk. And last but not least, Randy Shoop. My husband and Garrison and Sophie's dad. You are such a wonderful person I feel so blessed to be part of your life. You are such a great dad to Sophie and Garrison.
To all the other Dads out there. My Uncles and Cousins. I hope you have a great day.
Love you all

Erin has left the building
Well my baby girl left for Texas on Saturday. Her friend Kelsey goes to visit her dad every summer in Odessa Texas and Erin was invited to go with her this time to spend a couple of weeks. It was a hard decision to make to let her go, but she has done so well in school this year I thought she deserved it.

Erin Ninth Grade Dance
It was Erin's ninth grade dance last night. Her friend Kelsey came home with her after school so they could get ready together. These pics are before and after the dance. They switched dresses at school half way through the dance for some reason.
Erin did gets some pics at the dance and I will post them when I get them.
