40 YEARS OLD. HOLY CRAP

Well today is my 40th birthday. Holy Crap. Where did the time go. I guess it is true what they say.
TIME FLYS WHEN YOUR HAVING FUN.

Yesterday Randy sent a dozen roses to my work and last night we went and had dinner with his parents. Randy made me a card using the words from a song by Micheal Buble called Everything. I posted the you tube video yesterday. I always liked the song but now I like it even better.
Today I am going to see Erin play soccer, at least half of the game anyway and then head down to Salt Lake with Randy to watch the Utah Utes play. It should be a good day.

Thank you Aunt Margaret and Uncle Jim for the flowers. They are very pretty.
Thanks to my husband, kids, all my family and my friends for putting up with me.
Love you All.

My Everything

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmgxApyka7g

Randy made me a birthday card and he used the words from this song in it. I think it is one of the most Romantic things he has ever done. And he has done a lot of Romantic things.
Thanks Sweetie

ERIN'S HAIRCUT

Erin went with her friend to get a haircut this weekend and cut it short. I knew she was thinking about it but it was a shock. She had such beautiful long hair. I would love to have hair like that. But I have to say she looks great with the short hair. She looks so grown up. And I am so very, very proud of my daughter. She gave her hair that was cut off to the locks of love organization.

WHAT IS LOCKS OF LOVE?
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.

CATS

My mom, Erin, Sophie and me went to see CATS the musical at the Capital Theatre in Salt Lake last night. It was so great. We had 4th row seats and we could see the facial expressions on the actors. That is my favorite musical and I am so happy that I got the opportunity to go. I know Erin and my mom liked it but Sophie looked a little bored. I think maybe it wasn't quite what she was expecting. My friend Jeri from my soccer team was there in the back row. At the intermission I went and got her and she sat down by us because there were empty seats next to my mom. She said that made a big difference in the show. You can see things so much better from that close.
I would definitely go see it again if given the opportunity.

Shenanigans 2 and 1 season

Erin's soccer team the Shenanigans won their game on Saturday 3 to 1. That makes the season 2 wins and one loss so far. It is fun to watch the team. They move around really well and pass well. Erin did a really good header pass. I was really proud of her. She played most of the game.
The other team must not be used to losing because I was sitting by the coach and some of the parents and they were complaining about everything the whole game.
Oh yeah and the Utah Utes won their game too.

Sad Occasion

My dad's sister, my Aunt Margaret passed away and her funeral was today. My dad doesn't get out any more so I went with my mom so she wouldn't have to go by herself. My dad is now the last sibling out of six of the Holm family. Even though I haven't seen my Aunt Margaret in many years I will miss her a lot. It was nice to see the family since it has been so long. I just wish it wasn't for such a sad occasion.

Game On

This weekend was Erin's first co-ed soccer team game. I was only able to see the first half but they were all AWESOME. Erin's first time out she jumped up and trapped the ball with her chest. Her dad said she did really well in the second half too. They were up 3 to nothing when I left. I guess the other team finally scored a goal in the second half but Erin's team won the game. I took some video of Erin but I haven't figured out how to download the video yet. So by the time I figure it out it will probably be just a bunch of different things that we have done on one slide show.
I had to leave early to go with Randy to the first home game of the season for the Utah Utes. Randy and his parents have been getting season tickets for years and I have become a fan also just going to the games. The Utes were not doing so well the first half but the coach must have kicked their butts at half time because they came out and scored a lot. I don't even remember the score. After the game they shut the lights off in the stadium and had fireworks. That was way cool.

Happy B-day Uncle Fred

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Randy the kids and I went camping over Labor Day weekend with my brother and his family. We went up to the West Fork of the Blackfork River in the Uintahs. It was lots of fun.

We got up there about 10:30 and couldn't find John so we made camp and started looking for him in the morning. We had gone a different way then him and finally found him. We set up camp in a meadow with close access to the river. The kids loved it. They went tubing and Jackie, Garrison and Sophie spent a lot of time catching and playing with the little frogs that were around. Erin enjoyed driving around John's four-wheeler. Austin was the fire keeper and that kept him busy.

We tried fishing but I think John is the only one that caught anything. Austin and I had problems with our lines and it kept getting all messed up into a big rats nest.

We had all the dogs with us so it was quite a zoo. It rained a little Saturday night and John and Randy had to get up in the middle of the night to put the awnings down on the trailers because it was windy. We were going to stay until Monday but the weather didn't look so good so we all left about 5:30 on Sunday. I am kinda glad we left because it started raining pretty hard on the way home and I think it would have been a muddy mess if we had stayed. Plus we were able to have Monday to clean out the trailer and rest up from the long drive.

I have a couple of pics to post but I still haven't figured out to download the camcorder yet. I will post that stuff as soon as I do.

It was a lot of fun being with John, Rebecca and Jackie. I hope we are able to do that again someday.
