Garrison and Sophie's 2nd Day of School

Well Garrison and Sophie were with their mom on the first day of school so I was unable to get a picture until this morning for the second day of school, but the first day from our house.

They both said they had a good first day. Lucky Garrison said he doesn't have homework for the first week. Sophie had homework already. I can't believe how fast the time has went. When I first met them Sophie wasn't even in school yet and now Garrison is in 5th grade and Sophie is in 3rd grade. They sure grow up fast.

Erin's First day of School

Today is Erin's first day of Ninth Grade. It is hard for me to believe my baby is that grown up. She is turning into such a beautiful young woman.
I dropped her off about an hour early so she could find her locker and make sure it worked and make sure she knew where all her classes were. She was pretty excited to go and see all her friends. She hasn't been able to see most of them this summer.

DAY OFF

Randy and I had such a good day off. On Wednesday night for his birthday we went out to dinner at the RoadHouse. We both had prime rib which is our favorite. We decided to wait until Thursday to go check out the cabin that Randy's friend has. He told me it didn't have a bathroom and I was a little hesitant about that.
We got going about 10 or so on Thursday and headed to Evanston. We got gas there and continued to his friend's cabin. The cabin is so cute. It is actually two little cabins with a porch in between. They are both very fancy on the insides. Tile and carpeting and fully decorated. Funny that there is no potty though. We stayed for a little while and then decided to drive the Mirror Lake Highway. We drove thru some camp grounds trying to get a feel of where we would like to stay when we go up for Labor Day with my brother. Randy took me on a dirt road and showed me where he used to go snowmobiling on Soapstone Basin. I did take a few pics but now I need to figure out how to get them on my blog from the new camcorder.
We came down thru Kamas and had something to eat there. Then we headed up to Park City to fill up the truck with gas. On the way home we stopped at John's to discuss where to go next week. They were getting new tile in the kitchen. It looks really nice.
We finally got home about 9:30 and I was tired from all the driving so I went to bed but Randy stayed up till who knows when.
Randy said we need to win the lottery so we can do that more often. It sure beats working, that is for Sure.

Happy Birthday Randy

Webfetti.com

Today is Randy's Birthday. We both took tomorrow off because we were going to head out to Wendover for the night. When I called to get reservations they were booked because of Speed Week on the Salt Flats. So Randy has a friend at work that offered her cabin to us. I am not sure if we are going to head out tonight or just go for the day tomorrow. Yesterday I got a new camcorder so I plan on taking it with me to try it out. I will try and post pics of our day.

Uneventful Weekend

Not much going on this weekend. Friday I took Erin down to her dad's house. I didn't get back home until 7 o'clock. Then I just watched the Olympics and worked on my puzzle that I started last week. On Saturday we got up and made a big breakfast. We are really enjoying our new electric griddle. Plus it is saving quite a bit of money since we usually go out to the Star on the weekends. Austin drove down with his girlfriend Brittney and her parents to Price to take her to college. He was really sad when he got home. He told me he would probably be a little mopey for a little while since she is gone now. I told him he always seemed mopey and I probably wouldn't be able to tell a difference. That got a laugh out of him. Randy and Garrison worked on his snowmobile trailer getting it all fixed up to sell. And Sophie just watched TV. My brother came over in the evening and we had steaks out on the deck. It is really nice out there now that Randy put the canopy up. I was crazy again and went to a 11 o'clock soccer game. I slip and fell and slammed my head against the wall. That was pretty embarassing and it really hurt. My neck and head was killing me by the time I got home. Randy gave me a neck rub and that helped a lot. Sunday was another slow day. We slept in pretty late. I just watched TV and finished my puzzle. Randy worked outside in the garage and the kids just played in their rooms. Austin went to work most of the day. So pretty much I was lazy all weekend. Oh well. That is nice to do sometimes.

Pretty Good Weekend

Well it was a busy weekend, but it turned out pretty good. On Friday I had to go stay with my dad after work until my mom got home from Cedar City. She went to the Shakesperian Festival down there and Austin, John and I were taking care of him in the afternoon and evenings while she was gone. After she got home I met Randy and his kids over to El Burrito for dinner. Then we took Izzy our German Shepard with us over to my brother's house to feed Shilo. John went to Bear Lake for the weekend with Rebecca's family. Shilo and Izzy don't seem to like each other too much so they pretty much just stayed away from each other.

On Saturday we made a big breakfast and then Randy did errands with his kids and I went up to the college to get textbooks for the English class I just started. Unfortunatley the bookstore was closed and I was unable to get my books.

Randy was telling me about a gazebo that he thought would be good for the deck so we went and got one. We headed to his Grandma's 90th birthday party Saturday evening. I only have a couple of pictures because my camera froze up.

I think she had a good time. I got to meet Randy's Aunt Heidi and Uncle John. They seem very nice. We got home about 9 and I vegged for a little bit then took off for a soccer game at 11 o'clock at night. That is crazy. And I am pretty crazy for doing it.

On Sunday we had another big breakfast and took Izzy over to feed Shilo again. They still ignored each other mostly. Sophie and I took off for Salt Lake for a lunch with my friend Teresa for her Birthday. Randy and Garrison put together the gazebo on the deck and added misting tubes and sunshades so it is really nice to be out on the deck now.

So all in all it turned out pretty good. Just a lot of running around.

FISH LAKE

Randy and I took the trailer down to Fish Lake over the weekend. We didn't have any kids with us. That was kinda weird at first but we got used to it. We met Randy's friend from work Allan and his wife Linda there.
We didn't do much on Friday when we got there. Just got things set up. We went up to Allan and Linda's campsite and roasted marshmallows that night. Saturday we slept in and then took a really long bike ride. We stopped at the main log to look around. That place is huge. We came back to the campsite to grab some lunch and see what Allan and Linda were up too. I don't know what the deal was but I got sick to my stomach after lunch. We went on another bike ride with Allan and Linda to one of the smaller lodges but I didn't feel good and we headed back to camp. I sipped sprite and ate graham crackers while Randy BBQ'd a hamburger. Later on I was feeling better and we all went out on Allan and Linda's boat to do some fishing. I caught two fish. Lucky me. I don't like touching them or eating them. Randy was nice enough to clean and gut them for me. We went back up to their campsite when we got back from fishing and made Smores over the fire.
Sunday morning we went back out fishing for a while. I decided not to fish and just take some pictures. Allan caught a couple of fish but Randy didn't. I was hoping he would catch some. We went back to the campsite and Allan made a big breakfast for us. That was really nice. We got everything put away and took off for home.
What a great weekend. The weather was so nice. Not hot like here. I hope we get the chance to do it again. Hopefully we can take the kids and rent a boat to take them fishing. I think they would really like that.
