Well John decided that he wanted to just get the roof done this weekend since his friend Matt could come help. John and I started on Thursday night tearing off the old roof. It took us until Saturday morning to get it all off. It didn't go as fast with just two of us. But Matt showed up with his wife Jacinda later in the morning and we got going. We were about half way done when we decided it was just too hot. So we took a break and then started up again later in the day. We got all but the top done Saturday night and finished up today before noon. Now all we have to do is go empty the trailer at the dump. But I think we are going to wait until next weekend to do that. I think we did a really good job and I am SSSOOO glad we are done.

Exhausting Weekend
Whew!!!! What a exhausting weekend. John, Randy and I with some help from my parents neighbor cleared off one side of my parents roof of the shingles and put new shingles on. It took us all weekend. We were all so ready to go back to work just to have a rest from the hard work and hot sun. Lucky us we get to do it again on the other side of the house next weekend. Or maybe the next, we may need a weekend break before tackling that again. It looks really good though. By the time it needs it again i will be way to old to be getting on roofs so my kids will have to do it. I think I am going to start a roof fund right now so in case we ever have to do that at our house.
