Christmas was great but really busy. We got up and opened presents with the kids and then we headed over to see my dad. After that we headed down to Sandy to Randy's Uncles house to see his family. Then we headed back up to see my mom and my visiting Aunt and Uncle. I think we finally headed back home around 7:30. It was a blizzard on the way home. Randy and Garrison wanted to stop and do donuts but nobody else wanted too. I think the kids all had a good day and loved what they got. Randy went in and took a pic of Sophie after she fell asleep with her new lion cub. It was so cute. Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope yours was as good as ours.
(PS I didn't realize my new camera had the wrong date on it till I posted these pics)

Snow Day
Erin, Garrison and Sophie decided they were going to shovel the driveway for us on Monday night when I got home from work. They got about 1/2 way down the driveway when they gave up. They decided it would be more fun to make a slide in the front yard instead. Randy got home and used the snow blower and got it all done a lot faster than they were going anyway. Randy let Izzy out to play and I didn't get a pic of her but she sure seems to love the snow.

DINNER AT MIMI'S
Uncle Jim and Aunt Margaret and Uncle Charlie and Aunt Sharon are all in Utah visiting for the Holidays. Randy and I and the kids and John and my mom all went to dinner with them at Mimi's Cafe in Layton. Sorry the pics aren't so great. I didn't bring my camera so these are with my cell phone and the lighting was really dark.
We all had a good time and hopefully we will be able to visit again before they go home. Uncle Jim and Aunt Margaret thanks for dinner. That was really nice of you.

Thanksgiving Day
Randy and I went with John and Rebecca over to the nursing home yesterday morning to see my dad. When we got there he said he was so happy to see us he was going to cry. We took him for a walk in his wheel chair around the nursing home and than my mom showed up with my Uncle Fred. Rebecca took these pics of us with my dad.
John and Rebecca had Thanksgiving dinner with her family and my mom took Uncle Fred up to Camp Utaba for dinner. Randy and I went to his Uncle Jim's house. Our kids were with their other parents so we were on our own. After we saw my dad Randy and decided we were hungry and we were not going to eat dinner until 4 so we went to IHOP so that Randy could have pumpkin pancakes. I had a bite of them and they were pretty good. We ran over to Walmart to get some stuff for the dinner and I was surprised at how many people were there. We left a little early for dinner and dropped a pumpkin pie off at my brother's house. He was the only one that liked pumpkin pie over there so they were not going to have any. I don't like pumpkin pie myself but it is a staple for Thanksgivin and I thought he needed one. We were the first ones to Randy's Uncle and Aunt's house but everyone soon followed. It was a full house. His Grandma and Uncle John came, his parents, his sister and her friend and her kids. Me and and Randy and his Uncle and Aunt and their three kids who were very nice to host the dinner. I have been up there several times now since I met Randy and they are always so nice and have great dinners.
I am so Thankful for my husband, our families, our kids and our friends.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

Happy Bday Erin

Today is Erin's 15th birthday. My baby is growing up way too fast. She can go get her drivers permit now. On Friday she had a party at the house with a bunch of friends. They were driving me and Randy crazy with all the screaming. So glad that is over.

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween. I took a bunch of pics of Erin and her friend Kelsey. They walked around the neighborhood while I took Tazzy and went to the nursing home to see my dad and hang out with my mom. They do trick or treating at the nursing home and there was tons of kids coming thru. I dressed Tazzy up as a pirate and my mom dressed her dog Jigglepuff up as a queen. Randy stayed at home and handed out candy. He said there were not a lot of kids that came by. Oh well, I guess more candy for him. Austin went down to his dad's house so I am not sure if he dressed up or not. Garrison and Sophie were at their mom's house. I told Garrison if he could gets some pics of them in their costumes than I would get them posted.

Where the Antelope Play
Randy and Garrison and Sophie went camping this weekend. It was out towards Wendover.
They said they had a great time. They did some shooting and rode the ATV's.
Randy got some good pictures of the Antelope that were close by. He said the Antelope made really weird sounds.

PUMPKINS
We took the kids over to a pumpkin patch last night to pick out pumpkins. They all used markers and drew pictures on the pumpkins. They may decide to carve them later when it gets closer to Halloween but we were worried with the weather that they might go bad if they did it now.

NOT A GOOD DAY
Yesterday was not a good day. My dad has been on Hospice and my mom has been trying to take care of him herself. Well the Hospice nurse said that he is declining so quickly that my mom just can't do it herself any more. (He has Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease) She is burned out. So yesterday my dad was moved to the Rocky Mountain Care Center. I know it is for the best for him and my mom but it sure was hard to see him there and know that it is permanent and he won't be coming home.

JAZZ GAME
Randy and I were lucky enough to get front row tickets to the first pre-season Jazz game last night from my work. They ended up losing but it was sure fun anyway. We took a bunch of pics with my cell phone.
Check out the slideshow. Sorry some of them are blurry. Those are the pics I took. Randy is much better at picture taking then me.
